I’m Alive, a docudrama in development
tells the story of women’s experience of sexual violence from prehistory to the
present. What is the difference between a cave man who hits a woman in the
head with a club to drag her back to the cave to rape her and the man who drugs a woman’s
drink in a bar and drags her back to a cave called hotel to rape her?
I'm Alive responds to these
questions with information and an action plan to minimize the potential for
these criminal acts to take place and what to do in the event they happen to receive
care and counsel. Real women tell their real stories of the terrorist acts of
sexual violence acted out on them as little girls and teens by family members
and friends of family.
How can our culture be numb to what is happening with girl children and teen girls when fathers and other family members use them for sex? How can our culture be numb to women who go off to war to serve our country but a savagely attacked for sex by their comrades? How can our culture be numb to this treatment of women without asserting the commitment and resources necessary to make a difference

Attention will also focus
on the post - traumatic stress disorder affecting women for decades beyond the
trauma. Many are mid to late 30’s and 40’s before asking themselves if their
earlier experience has affected adult life and relationships.
Sexual violence is a
criminal act of terrorism crying out demanding equal protection and justice.
Sexual violence affects women everywhere across the Earth; every nation,
age, stage, color, culture, class, and religion.
