A Grieving Tribute to Leonard Nimoy

A Grieving Tribute to Leonard Nimoy

Since the 1960’s and the coming of Star Trek, Gene Roddenberry’s Wagon Train to the stars; I paid close attention to Leonard Nimoy, his Mr. Spock as well as many of his other interests. Nimoy is an Aries. I am an Aries. Nimoy loved the form of the plus size woman. I love the form of the plus size woman. Nimoy wrote and published poetry. I have written and published poetry. Nimoy lived with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). I live with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

On CBS Sunday Morning report for March 1, 2015, Nimoy in a video says, “Until Star Trek, I had never had a job lasting more than two weeks.” While successfully living out Star Trek mega success and other ventures, Mr. Spock will live eternal in and amongst the hearts of Star Trek Fans across the world. I grieve at his passing.

Back Story

Mr. Spock is from the Planet Vulcan, a hot planet by Earth standards with abundant uninhabitable terrain.  Vulcan is also home to people who have successfully repressed their emotions to live logical lives. All their behavior expresses an unemotionally invested, cold, and calculated logic. Vulcans are superior intellects without ego.

Known only as Spock on his home world, he is the son of a cross species mating between a Vulcan male and a Human female. His father, Sarek serves as the Vulcan Ambassador to the United Federation of Planets for which Earth serves as host. San Francisco is the Washington, D.C. of the Federation.

Memorable Spock Moments

In the episode, Amok Time, the siren song to the violent mating ritual overtakes Spock and he must return to Vulan to claim his betrothed, T’Pring, who seeks to have him logically eliminated through the challenge of the koon - ut - kal - if - fee, battle to the death between Spock and a champion of her choosing. She chooses Kirk. Vulcan sexual madness comes every seven years for the Vulcan Male.

In the Second Feature Film, the Wrath of Khan, Spock dies to save the Enterprise and the lives of her crew. As he dies he comments, “The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one.”
In the Third Feature Film, the Search for Spock, Spock’s body remains on Planet Genesis after his death. The effects of the Genesis Planet, life from lifelessness, regenerate Mr. Spock, alive without consciousness of person or soul.

Before he died, Spock passed his soul (his kaatraa) on to Dr. McKoy through the Vulcan Mind Meld. Necessity demanded that Kirk take Spock and McCoy to climb the steps of Mount Selaia for the ancient Vulcan ritual of fal - tor - pan to reunite Spock's soul and body. It is inconceivable to think of Star Trek without Spock.

Gifts from Mr. Spock and Leonard Nimoy

Vulcan Philosophy inspires many across the Earth in the forms of the IDIC, Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations. Nimoy brought the Vulcan Salute from a blessing of Jewish Tradition. The salute is a “V” formed the space between the middle finger and the ring finger. It communicates live long and prosper.

Aries’ personalities are earthy. Nimoy’s reveals it broader picture of beauty in his photography of the plus size woman as sexy on steroids. A writer, thinker, producer, and contributor to the betterment of humanity, this tribute honors Leonard Nimoy as beautiful soul and person. I grieve at his passing.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

Nimoy’s passing is a reminder the great among us must pass through and burst the womb from this life to the next. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease can result from smoking. It can also result from living in and breathing toxic air.

The disease inhibits free breathing as lung elasticity decreases. The process of inhaling and exhaling becomes a struggle. While Nimoy lived a good, long, and productive life, hope exists that his legacy prompt further exploration into the final frontier for a cure for COPD. I join the millions who grieve his passing.

In the early 90's, Oscar and Bonnie Crawford created their own Start Trek Short Film at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.
